Deepening Calling

- Unified Action

Saturday, May 18, 10-5pm, Dublin 2

I am really looking forward to this deepening exploration of our individual relationship to Calling. We will open up the interplay between work and self, looking at how each inform and transform one another, continually enriching the potency of our lives and our service to the whole.

This workshop will draw particularly on the beautiful work of Stephen Cope. A senior teacher at Kripalu, Cope has drawn richly on the Bhagavad Gita to open up themes of devotion, surrender, and action as dharma, and his perspectives have greatly enriched my appreciation of the territory of Calling.

At the heart of this workshop, we will be looking at the relation between ‘the call’ and ‘the world’, paying attention to how Calling can become a path of devotion, prayer - an act of expression and surrender. In this sense, the day will bring in a more ‘spiritual’ perspective, but this is a spirituality grounded in the earthy practicalities, passions and dilemmas of our lives. I am keen to give more specific attention to how each of us hears, respects, and acts upon the calls inside us.

This follow up workshop open to anyone who has participated in one of my Calling workshops over the past couple of years, or to those who already have a strong feel for this territory. (If you are drawn to the workshop but haven’t worked with me before, contact me at emmapb@me.com)
